By using Uffi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Personal Data We Collect
3.1 Account Information
Uffi has no passwords. To sign in, you give us your email address and we send you a one-time code. We store your email address and the time of each sign-in.
3.2 Texts You Write
The texts you submit for checking, translation or lookup, together with the corrections and explanations we return, are stored in your history so that Uffi can show your progress and build your review cards from your own mistakes. Do not submit texts that contain other people's personal data.
3.3 Usage Data
We record which features you use and when (for example the number of checks per day), so that streaks and progress can be calculated.
3.4 Technical Data
Our servers log IP address, browser type and request timestamps for security, rate limiting and debugging. These logs are kept for at most 30 days.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To sign you in and keep your session.
- To correct, translate and explain the texts you submit.
- To show your progress over time and to create review exercises from your own mistakes.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer your support requests.
Your texts are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
5. Legal Basis
- Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): providing the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): security, abuse prevention and improving the Service.
- Legal obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)): where we are required to keep records.
6. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account and your texts are stored on servers located in the European Union. Processing of texts by language models takes place with providers under data processing agreements that prohibit training on your data.
7. Sharing of Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers that host the Service, send our emails and process texts on our behalf, under data processing agreements.
- Authorities, where required by law.
8. Retention and Deletion
You can download your data, and delete your account, at any time from the account page. You can also turn on "don't store" so new texts are checked without being saved. When you delete your account, your subscription is cancelled and your account is anonymised, and your email address, history and progress are erased within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:
