Terms of Use for Uffi

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Uffi service at uffi.no (the "Service"), operated by LIMOLI AS (org.nr. 930299049), located at Ingvald Kristiansens gate 6, 1461 Lørenskog, Norway ("we", "us", or "our").

By signing in and using Uffi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. The Service

Uffi helps you write Norwegian. You submit a text, and the Service returns corrections, translations or explanations, keeps a history of your mistakes, and builds short review exercises from them.

Corrections are produced with the help of language models and reviewed as described in the Service. They are an aid, not a guarantee: always use your own judgement before relying on a correction in an exam, an application or a legal document.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your mailbox secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit texts that contain other people's personal data without their consent, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringing.
  • Use automated tools to submit texts, or otherwise place an unreasonable load on the Service.
  • Attempt to gain access to other users' accounts or to the systems behind the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the texts you submit. You grant us a licence to store and process them solely to provide the Service to you. Your texts are never used to train AI models. You can delete any entry, or your whole history, at any time.

6. Our Content

The Service, its design, software, explanations and exercises are owned by LIMOLI AS or its licensors and protected by copyright. You may use corrections and explanations returned to you for your own purposes.

7. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Where a change materially reduces the Service you pay for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, LIMOLI AS is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or damages arising from reliance on a correction. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Norway, with Romerike og Glåmdal tingrett as the venue, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another option.
